Job Description
Are you interested in contributing to Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) from regulatory perspectives?
As a Regulatory Reporting Operations - Associate within our Market Operations team, you will play a key role in automating and implementing regulatory, business, and market initiated changes on Legal Ledgers and Regulatory reports. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including other operations teams, Compliance, and Technology teams, to understand and interpret regulations. Your role will involve planning, executing, and monitoring projects, ensuring smooth delivery with all necessary controls and documentations in place. You will also have the opportunity to innovate by scripting workflows to automate and expedite data validation and controls.
Job Responsibilities

  • Manage projects or sub-projects, including planning, documentation of requirements, progress monitoring, test planning/execution, implementation, and stakeholder management.
  • Work on Data Analysis to validate data.
  • Work closely with SMEs to understand business processes and user requirements.
  • Review requirements with Compliance.
  • Execute remediation actions committed to regulators.
  • Run Controls / Validations to check quality of reports
  • Work with Compliance / LOBs to maintain Legal Ledger/ Regulatory Report Guidebooks


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong problem solver and effective communicator to manage stakeholders.
  • Strong business-level Japanese and English
  • Ability to prioritize projects and efforts considering many variables including risk/controls, business needs and resources.
  • Ability to manage tight delivery timelines and execute under pressure.
  • Capability to understand Regulatory Requirements.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Data Analysis skills
  • Alteryx/UIPath/Xceptor/Tableau skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial industry preferred.
