Position Purpose:
The Regional HSW Lead applies subject matter expertise and provides recommendations and solutions to achieve successful Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environmental outcomes in line with business needs while complying with all local regulations across the region. The HSW Lead role contributes to the delivery and implementation of effective Health, Safety and Environment improvement initiatives that meet the needs of the organisation within all Business sectors within Asia. The incumbent will role model SJ values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.
EXPERIENCE
- Typically, minimum seven (7)+ years of experience in an operational HSW role in relevant industries;
- Experience with engineering and project management/delivery processes (desirable)
Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining certified management systems (desirable)
EDUCATION, ACCREDITATIONS & FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or post-graduate qualification in relevant discipline (OHS)
- Internal auditing qualification (ISO 9001, 14001 and/or ISO 45001),
- Certificate IV – Training and Assessment, (desirable).
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of commercial business drivers;
- Sound knowledge of management systems;
- Sound knowledge of relevant ISO standards;
- Ability to effectively communicate with others;
- Ability and coach, train and facilitate;
- Strong time management skills;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite and SharePoint (desirable).
