We are looking for a seasoned Regional Director to help drive business development efforts across APAC for SDF. The person in this role will serve as a key regional public-facing voice and thought leader helping to educate and inform the region about the Stellar ecosystem. This person will further create organizational efficiency by assisting with coordination of all SDF activity in that area - from business development focused on developers up through large regional financial institutions, to event representation and planning, to policy and regulatory initiatives. They will support the broader partnership team and company objectives, and will be close partners and shared owners of all primary OKRs.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Business development work related to our core priorities on expanding DeFi, increasing monthly addresses, and driving asset tokenization, in coordination with Leads of each partnership vertical to drive relevant outcomes. These include surfacing opportunities based on SDF's needs, as well as helping to close deals brought by other members of BD and SDF.
- Assisting on regulatory and government relations needs in region, helping support the Legal, Policy and Government Relations teams.
- Assisting the Ecosystem team to identify, plan, and run events in region.
You have:
- 10+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record of success in business development roles within the blockchain, fintech, or financial services industries
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the blockchain industry, either at a blockchain company or in a role working on blockchain technology and use cases
- Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape and experience working with crypto exchanges, custodians, and asset tokenization platforms.
- A high degree of accountability with STRONG ability to communicate regional progress and all outcomes at frequent intervals to stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, with multiple stakeholders, while often working remotely from said team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a network of senior-level professionals, as well as sound judgment, poise in professional settings, and self-awareness.
- Self starter with an entrepreneurial drive.
- The ability to travel as needed, with frequent representation of Stellar at regional meetings and conferences.
Bonus points if you have:
- Existing relationships within the crypto ecosystem, particularly with a focus on tokenization and decentralized finance.
- Existing relationships with financial institutions, particularly on the asset management side.
We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of SGD 230,000-325,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, we offer lumen-denominated grants along with other perks and benefits.
