Overview:
SMG Family Medicine in Williamsburg, VA is now hiring a full Referral Coordinator. This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Virginia.
The Referral Coordinator provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by provider.
Education:
- High School Diploma required.
Experience:
- One year of Health Insurance Plans required.
- One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC preferred.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers.
- Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$17.31 - $28.85
