Reconciliation Specialist

We are looking for an ambitious Bank Reconciliation specialist to provide support to the financial department by managing daily and monthly reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Reconcile transactions by performing daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations 
•    Research and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal accounting records 
•    Prepare and distribute correspondence to other departments detailing discrepancies identified and checking to ensure that action is taken to resolve 
•    Ensure cash transactions are posted to the correct accounts 
•    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate accurate financial reporting 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Proficient in MS Excel
•    Excellent organizing abilities
•    High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
•    Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
•    BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field preferred
•    Prior reconciliation experience a plus
•    General understanding of accounting principles a plus

This position has a base compensation package offered at $11.00-$13.00 p/hr. commensurate with education and background experience.
