Job Description:
A great receptionist is a foundational member of any office team. This person is the first face our guests and employees see every day, so a positive attitude with great verbal and written communication skills are key. In this role, you will answer the phone, transfer calls, greet customers and other members of the public, distribute packages and mail timely, and carry out miscellaneous administrative tasks. You are the guardian of the lobby and conference rooms, and you keep them looking great. With some time and training, you can move your career inside our company on any number of possible paths.
*This position requires daily office attendance from 8am to 5pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer multi line phones, greet customers and visitors (by name when possible) with a professional and welcoming demeanor.

Maintains lobby area and conference rooms.

Takes and delivers messages promptly.

Distributes mail/deliveries during the day and processes outgoing mail.

Responsible for branch accounting procedures and processes the daily banking.

Prepares overnight and courier packages (i.e., Federal Express, local courier, etc.).

Receipts in escrow funds and send receipt copies to appropriate parties.

Opens new escrows and title orders.
-
Task to Central Processing Unit (CPU), i.e., payoffs, HOA and utility demands that appear on preliminary report/title commitment and/or Seller/Borrower Information Sheets, as requested.

Continues escrow education either through company training webinars/seminars/meetings or through outside sources (i.e., Escrow Association).

Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and completes mandatory company compliance training by prescribed deadlines.

At a minimum, the ability to work your scheduled work hours, Monday through Friday.

Ability to work overtime as requested by management.

Dependable, reliable and punctual attendance is required, which may include in-office attendance or attendance at company, industry or other events that occur outside regular business hours.

Ability to adopt and adapt to a changing industry environment. Will support, cooperate, engage, and contribute to Company goals, projects and initiatives related to new software tools and platforms, and production processing standards.

Ability to accept supervision and direction, as well as constructive feedback.

Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.

Demonstrates courtesy, flexibility, professionalism and is proactive and responsive to supervisor/manager, co-workers and customer needs and expectations.

Utilizes software tools and support services available through the company for efficient processing of the escrow file, including tasking to Central Processing Unit (CSD-CPU) and branch support staff for various file requirements.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.

Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meets prescribed deadlines.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.

Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.

Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.

Actively listens and is mindful of the role body language, gestures and other nonverbal actions can play in communication.

The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.
Position's Pay Range:
$23.00 to $27.00 per hour.
