Kaiwhakamana Tangata I Receptionist
The Ōtaki to north of Levin (Ō2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience and travel efficiency, support regional economic growth, and increase transport choices for the area’s growing population.
The new four-lane 24km highway will provide better access to walking and cycling facilities for those moving around or through the Horowhenua and Kapiti districts.
The Ō2NL project is led in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga and council partner Horowhenua District Council.
This transformative project is being delivered using a two-alliance approach, with each alliance delivering a section of the road and associated works. Our alliance partners are committed to creating a positive legacy for the region, led by our project principles to tread lightly with the whenua and create an enduring legacy.
As a receptionist you’ll enjoy a thriving office environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the office is a welcoming, organised, and accessible place for visitors and the project team. This is a two year fixed term position based in the Levin Ō2NL office.
The Job
This is a busy role where you will be responsible for managing all incoming phone calls, obtaining accurate information and directing all queries to the appropriate person in a timely manner, meeting and always greeting people with the highest level of customer service and providing office administration support. You’ll ensure all visitors sign into the Guest Register and be aware of where they are situated on the project for H&S purposes. In addition, you will provide day to day office co-ordination to assist our busy teams.

- Connections and knowledge of the local community
- Basic understanding of te reo Māori
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Intermediate level MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to liaise, advise and coordinate with all partners and stakeholders involved
- Strong office coordination skills
- Strong time management skills
- The ability to multitask and prioritise your time and workload
