Job Description
The Agilent CrossLab Group (ACG) continually develops innovative tools that improve the science and economics of the laboratory. Among these tools are software applications designed to help researchers manage their labs more efficiently and help them determine the future direction of their facility. The ACG Software Test team is looking to add a Software Test Lead to support our manual software testing team who will validate product quality prior to deployment. The ideal candidate needs to be self-directed, independent, have excellent time management and interpersonal skills, and must encompass a customer-first mentality.
Responsibilities:

Work directly with global teams (Software Development, Marketing, Product, and Test members) daily in a virtual environment

Perform manual testing, the scope of which will encompass all functionality of services

Work with Engineering and Product Management teams to clearly communicate test results, recommended next steps and timing for the next phase of feature releases

Working with Software development to provide test effort estimates

Develop and execute test scripts, plans and test cases for a range of projects varying from system implementations, enhancements, and bug fixes to strategic initiatives

Review and validate software requirements and functional design specifications

Troubleshoot system issues and defects with Support, R&D, and implementation teams, propose solutions, test resolutions and facilitate release to production

Coordinate UAT; assist in the development of test schedules and business-focused test plans

Develop test estimates for project and enhancement requests

Design, build and maintain test suites for continuous testing

Document test runs, results, and test analysis

Ability to contribute in medium to complex tasks independently

Exposure to Design Principles and ability to understand Design Specifications independently

Lead project test teams, assign work, review tasks, test cases and test results

Document test plans, test results and test summary

Collaborate with other functions such as technical marketing and product support in order to better understand requirements
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent
-
4+ years relevant experience with manual software testing
-
Experience in Software and QA Methodologies, life cycle, and processes

Experience with manual web application testing and development
-
Ability to quickly grasp requirements and propose creative solutions

Outstanding communication and organizational skills
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Functional, validation, regression, and usability testing experience
-
Experience writing test cases, test plans, and defect reports

Ability to build and foster good relationships and balance competing priorities

Self-motivated and directed individual
-
Team-oriented perspective
-
ISTQB Foundations certification or comparable is helpful

Additional Details

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $114,080.00 - $178,250.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
