The work location for this position

Lisle, IL office.

What you will be doing in a typical week:

  • Applying your experience to inform the product roadmap.

  • Experimenting with new technologies that improve our software.

  • Developing modern high-quality software - Create unit tests, perform functional testing to find bugs, and confirm that delivered software meets specifications and quality requirements.

  • Interactions with customers for customer-opened cases, demos, and feedback sessions.

  • Drive opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity through best practices.

Qualifications:

The main things we’re searching for are talent and passion. However, experience in one or more of these areas could make you a great addition to our team:

  • Mainframe Assembler, Metal C, REXX, C, Java, and Rest APIs.

  • Mainframe debugging skills using IPCS, VM Trace, XDC, etc.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

  • Complex problem-solving skills and deep expertise within the technical domain.

  • Expertise in Mainframe extensible frameworks such as ZOWE and dealing with pass tickets, certificates, or keyrings.

  • General knowledge of Cybersecurity and Compliance algorithms and modern approaches.

  • Experience in software testing methodologies such as BDD and TDD.

  • Experience with Agile methods for software development.

Job Duties 

  • Developing data-centric and mission-critical security and compliance solutions on the Mainframe. 

  • Experimenting with new technologies that improve the efficiency and Security of the company’s proprietary software products. 

  • Working collaboratively with the Agile team to write high-quality software. 

  • Actively participating and contributing in all Agile activities: Iteration planning, refinement, and sprint reviews. Volunteer for and commit to delivering stories and tasks within the sprint. 

  • Reviewing software engineering artifacts such as functional specifications, design specifications, code, unit tests, system test plans, feature test plans, and ensuring architectural integrity and high quality. 

  • To enable smoother cross-product integration, develop a greater understanding of multiple of the company’s Mainframe products and offerings.

  • Interacting with our customers to address support issues, provide demonstrations, and gather feedback during sessions. 

  • Driving opportunities to increase efficiency, security, and product quality through best practices.


Preferred Education

Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a software-related field.

Work Experience

Typically, 1 year of experience in software development or a related field preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $59,000 - $95,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
