We are looking for an innovative R&D Senior Engineer, who will strengthen our efforts in developing industry leading turbines for turbocharger applications. The jobholder will function as a component owner in the compressor & turbine team, being responsible for the turbine aerodynamic as well as mechanical design from pre- engineering and product development up to product maintenance and manufacturing support. Your responsibilities:

Design of turbines considering aerothermodynamics, mechanical integrity and materials

Responsible for turbine product validation and qualification
-
Support advanced concept studies on turbine topics
-
Shaping the Turbine Technology Roadmap
-
Internal interface for all product lines on turbine topics
-
Interfacing with internal and external test facilities for turbine test and validation topics
Your background:
-
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
-
Min. 5 years turbine development experience
-
Solid understanding of turbomachines
-
Strong Aerodynamics/Thermodynamics/Mechanical Integrity background knowledge
-
Experiences with 3D CFD tools and FEM
-
Sound knowledge in programming (Python, Matlab)
-
Familiar with turbine testing and validation
-
Open mindedness and strong interpersonal skills
-
Proven track record in turbine design (patents, publications)
-
Experience in compressor design would be a plus
-
Very high level of structuring and self- organization
-
Familiar with Microsoft Office Apps

Fluent in English and German
