R&D - Manager

We are now looking for a Software Development Manager to join our R&D organization, with colleagues in DK, US and PL. You will get people management and operational responsibilities like management of our software deliveries and leading improvements of our processes, so we keep them razor sharp. As a person you know the importance and power of having motivated teams to drive the success of Stibo Systems and in conclusion our customers.

The Job

As a manager within our R&D organization of 120+ people, you will manage a 1-2 teams consisting of Architect, QA, Developers and a product owner. Together with UX designers and stakeholders they deliver loved solutions to our customers. You will have close contact with each of your employees ensuring they are supported in their daily work and future development, so we can maintain our culture of teams being self-maintained and highly motivated.

On the operational level you will have the role as ‘Release Train engineer’ in the platform train that consists of 3 teams. As a release train engineer you will be facilitating the process in close collaboration with members of your train and fellow leaders within our R&D organization. In this role you will also be working on driving future process improvements, we have moved into cloud in the resent years and strive for continuous deployments and the processes have to accommodate this.

Moreover, you will:

• Provide leadership, direction, and guidance for a team of passionate employees.
• Use feedback received from colleagues to shape future improvements Develop processes together with our product management team inspired by principles from SAFe and Pragmatic Marketing, but also looking into Product Operating Model
• Enable creative and holistic thinking across teams and departments within Stibo Systems
• Share responsibility for team success and overall department success
• Own responsibility for team members to find their strengths and opportunities for improvement through meaningful feedback and coaching
• Work with cross functional teams across various geographies and departments
• Build lasting relationships with other managers and leaders across the organization

The R&D management team

You will get to work with great colleagues within the R&D management team, where we work closely together to move Stibo Systems forward and support each other in growing as managers through feedback, dialog and collaboration. You will take part in weekly meetings providing you an overview of all things in motion within R&D, enabling you to have the overview and share relevant information with your teams.

Furthermore:

• Experience working with Scrum and/or SAFe.
• Experience working with Software change initiatives.
• Experience working with DevOps - what works and what does not.
• Relationship builder with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Technical background with knowledge and understanding of software development.
• 2+ years of experience in leadership competencies or looking for your natural step forward and wanting to work with management.
