Job Description
- Involved in definition and development of designs which meet performance, cost and schedule objectives, and follow them through prototype and pilot phases.
- Plan, develop and implement firmware for the control of instrumentation.
- Work closely with cross competency engineers to optimize the design and ensure proper documentation of design specifications/files and writing of test reports to back up designs.
- Interface with the design and implementation engineers and architects.
- Work closely with Project Manager to construct proper schedule and ensure timely project delivery.
- Perform characterization and testing of design prototypes, analyze and verify the design to meet product performance specifications.
- Manage firmware codes documentations and releases.
- Constantly on the search and innovation of new methods/technologies/solutions to elevate design competency for life science instrumentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Masters in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering with >3 years related working experience.
- Experience in developing and debugging firmware. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Python.
- Experience using test and measurement equipment like oscilloscopes and DAQ for problem resolution and design verification.
- Knowledge in firmware development for motion control, thermal control and USB or CAN Bus design, image processing are added advantage.
- Able to adapt well in a dynamic working environment, eager to learn new knowledge, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and planning skills required.
