R&D Data Scientist Intern (Hybrid - Brea, CA)

Job Description:

We are looking for a R&D Data Scientist Intern to join our team.  You will help support the rapid growth of the Spark and Digital Orthodontic business unit of Envista.  The R&D Data Scientist Intern will partner with fellow Engineers and Production teams to execute on project objectives and team goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support various data analytics projects. 
• Create and maintain server scripts to extract and compile data.
• Provide data visualization and presentation for stakeholders on a regular basis.

Job Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in relevant fields such as Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or Business Analytics.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Python (scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas), AWS services (Athena, SageMaker) and Microsoft Excel.
• A portfolio of project experiences in data analytics preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
