Rates Operations - Associate

Job Description
Are you interested in the opportunity in Rates Middle Office team where you will play a key role by supporting Sales and Trading activities?

As a Rates Operations - Associate within Market Operations, you'll be responsible for understanding trading structures to accurately capture all transactions, complete reconciliation checks, and ensure controls are performed.
Job Responsibilities:

• Record all transactions promptly and accurately in the Risk Management Systems.
• Execute daily processes, including reconciliation checks, to ensure accurate processing of new trading activities and book management.
• Collaborate with Operations, Front Office, and infrastructure teams to foster a unified approach.
• Perform and sign off on all controls diligently and on schedule.
• Communicate clearly with support teams to resolve queries efficiently.
• Engage in strategic initiatives and continuously enhance processes and business architecture.
• Develop a thorough understanding of trading structures from both financial and operational perspectives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• At least 4 years of experience in Investment Banking Operations.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration, explanation, and appropriate challenge.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both Japanese and English.
• Strong skills in problem-solving, control, and project management.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Trade support or Middle office experiences
• Knowledge of derivatives and hedging products, including Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, FX, OIS, Bonds, and Futures.
