We have an exciting opening for junior talents!
As a Rates Middle Office - Analyst within Market Operations, you will be responsible for trade flow management and post trade controls for Trading and Sales Desks. Your responsibilities will also include coordination with various internal departments to facilitate business initiatives, and critical controls on transactions including internal and regulatory reporting. You will be part of a team that is actively involved in global projects to implement new systems and create a globally consistent and cost-effective support model.
Job responsibilities

  • Capture of all transactions in the Risk Management Systems
  • Complete intraday / end of day processes including completeness and reconciliation checks to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately
  • Work closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support "one team approach "
  • Ensure all controls are diligently performed, completed, and signed off on a timely basis
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with all support teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries.
  • Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture
  • Build an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to work with operations and technology
  • Well motivated, enthusiastic, and strong work ethic with positive attitude in learning and towards changes
  • Be involved in global as well as local projects aimed for supporting new business, striving for efficiency, and streamlining to increase team's capacity
  • Ability to work in a pressurized environment with tight deadlines to meet on a regular basis by prioritizing and multi-tasking
  • Good communication skills especially when describing problems and explaining solutions
  • Understanding of all relevant derivatives and hedging products (Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency swaps, Forward Rate Agreement (FRA), Foreign Exchange (FX), Zero Coupon and Overnight Index Swaps (OIS), Bond and Futures) is required.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese

  • Multi-tasking capability with accuracy and risk control mindset
  • Proficient programming skills as well as in MS applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving, control, and project management skills
