Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervision and coordination of work activities of hourly production hourly employees.
- Feedback daily defects to management personnel and production employees.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations to employees.
- Establish and adjust manpower to meet production schedules.
- Maintain time and production records.
- Administer disciplinary action as needed.
- Inspection of products to verify conformance to specification and problem resolution/general maintenance of machinery.
- Recommend measures to improve efficiency as it relates to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Set up containment when required.
- Communicate shop floor problems/defects to the personnel responsible for corrective action.
- Set up schedule of inspection and testing regarding new launches.
- Assure adherence of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by ensuring that quality policies, procedures, and processes are followed.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance related to product, process and quality systems.
- Identify and record any problems related to the product, process and quality system.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Applied Science or Engineering (preferred).
- Five years prior experience in Quality Assurance (Preferred) or a combination of equivalent education, experience and training with the necessary knowledge and skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft word and Excel.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Experience in quality management systems.
- Experience in quality system audits.
- Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
