Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible and has the authority for the development and facilitation of the overall Quality System for the Victor Manufacturing facility. This includes the audit function, coordination of the Quality Measures, and provides leadership and liaison with cross functional groups on quality matters and directing of Quality resources to achieve the desired results for the company and its customers.

Safety First - Obey the plant's safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times and immediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuries are the expected standard. Provide resources to execute the Total Quality System both internal and externally focused for customer satisfaction. Manage the Quality Department providing development and performance feedback to employees. Represent Quality on the QOS team and direct this program to an efficient, effective, improvement process. Design and implement Quality System requirements in compliance to all customer needs. Establish an annual budget for approval and adhere to it. Provide training in the Quality Sciences as required for implementing improvement teams and for management as required. Participate on the Staff Management team for improved facility policy and decision making. Perform managerial Quality Systems audits for compliance to documented systems and report to management the results with suggestions for improvement. Manage, provide action, reporting and verification of Continuous Improvement projects to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality system. Establish and maintain a system for identifying, recording and controlling any problems relating to the product, process, safety and quality systems. Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity, safety and working environment. Evaluates employee's performance on a regular and timely basis and commends good performance. Performs planned and unplanned work place inspections. Aware of Safety, Health & Environmental policies. Be involved with accident/incident investigations as necessary. Communicate customer specific requirements to effected departments, as needed. Perform all other duties as required. Report directly to the General Manager of Victor Manufacturing and acts as the plant wide Quality advisor. Provides professional quality advice and services to the facility along with representing the Company in professional organizations. Follows and supports Victor Manufacturing's and Magna's operating principles, including:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Documents employee performance issues to ensure that records are established and available in the employee file. The documentation will include all incidents of violations of company policies and failures to meet acceptable job performance. Absenteeism, unacceptable conduct, safety violations, insufficient productivity, and errors that damage tooling, equipment or the facility are examples of things gone wrong that require documentation.
- Each supervisors' performance will be measured, in part, by their ability to follow the various guidelines incorporated into their job descriptions; including, but not limited to Employee Relations, Safety, Quality and Production Standards.
- Reviews employees on a regular and timely basis and commends good performances.
Qualifications: (These qualifications represent the minimum requirements of the position. Employees will be required to possess the ability and aptitudes to perform the duties proficiently.)
Education and/or Experience:
Engineering degree and/or Professional quality experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Extensive Quality Systems knowledge and background.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Facilitation skills and training skills and abilities.
Managerial experience and leadership skills.
