Quality Manager
Main purpose of the job:
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and driving Quality standards and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction whilst consistently working towards World Class Manufacturing.
The Quality Manager is responsible to ensure IAC Elmdon meets all internal and external quality expectations, customer specific requirements in alignment with Elmdon strategic business plans.
Main missions and results:
• Lead and develop the Quality Team to support business needs, ensuring continual improvement and development of skills.
• Influence and develop the business to have a Quality focused culture.
• Drive implementation and continual improvements to the UK and plant Quality Management System to ensure compliance with all standards, Customer Specific Requirements and external certification bodies, e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 14001, CQC etc.
• Support New Product introduction, ensuring full support for quality related programme activities, e.g. control plan development, lessons learnt, etc.
• Drive Quality Core tools throughout the organisation.
• Process owner for Control plans , CQC, VSCC and Product Safety Requirements.
• Management and development of a professional relationship with customers and suppliers on customer issues and product development.
• Management of Quality KPI, regular reporting and using the data to improve.
• Promote and drive problem solving within the plant utilising proven methodologies to implement, verify and validate permanent solutions to known concerns and drive improvement.
• Drive resolution and Co-ordination of day to day quality concerns at customer, supplier, and in plant in terms of quality performance.
• Developing and adhering to department budgets.
• Develop and Manage an Elmdon Strategic Quality Model to support IAC UK Quality Strategy activities.
• Control internal and external auditing process ensuring the company meets and retains the required accreditation standards.
Preferred skills and experience:
• Engineering / Technical degree.
• Proven experience of automotive quality in a lead position.
• Significant Automotive experience and knowledge of OEM customer specific requirements.
• Training, IATF 16949 Lead Auditor, VDA 6.3
• Knowledge of CQC and VSCC Certification requirements.
• Customer first mindset.
• Analytical approach to problems.
• Independent and Self-Motivated.
• Leadership and motivation of employees.
