Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer is responsible for assisting and maintaining our continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, the Quality Engineer is responsible for supervising and structuring test plans IAW MIL standards and customer requirements. The Quality Engineer is also expected to review quality clauses and Q-notes on all quotes and contracts.

Job Location:

Vishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA that is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are 70 employees across two shifts working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This would be an on-site position.

What you will be doing:

• ISO 9001:2015 Quality system maintenance.
• Deploy quality tools in project phases (FMEA, SPC, MSA, control plans….).
• Develop and maintain quality plans.
• Identify causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Development and refinement of workmanship standards.
• Coordinate quality activities throughout the supply chain.
• Review quotes for Quality clauses and Compliance requirements: Mil Standards, FARS and DFARS.
• Schedule and perform on-going Reliability testing for specified product family representative products.
• Ensure compliance with customer and system requirements.

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline or Associate’s degree (Electrical preferred) and equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 to 5 (5+ desired) years of Quality, Engineering, or related experience in the electronic component industry.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, SPC, Control Plans, FMEA and PPAP) is preferred. Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001-2015 Quality Systems.
• Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
