Summary
Performs quality assurance activities concerned with the engineering of products, materials, and processes
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs detailed contract reviews to determine the quality assurance requirements.
- May assist Contracts during the RFP phase to review contract quality requirements and make recommendations for acceptance/rejection.
- Acts as liaison Team leader between departments and makes independent decisions to insure adherence to quality and reliability procedures.
- Single point of contact to Program Teams for all Operations Quality Assurance elements.
- Prepares Basis of Estimates to support new and reoccurring programs.
- Supports proposals for new jobs and informs team members of the proposal requirements.
- Provides Program Quality requirements for other members of the work cell.
- Work within a team construct in support of the assigned program.
- Develops and implements quality procedures.
- Develops and maintains monthly program status.
- Establishes and collects data for metrics reporting and analyzes results of activities for potentially adverse trends.
- Prepares status reports for management and presents status to management as required.
- Generates and tracks responses to internal CARs and supplier CARs.
- May lead mini Kaizan events aimed at continuous improvement activities.
- Performs final sell-off and witnesses testing of products to customers and the government.
- Answers questions relating to standard practices and procedures.
- Reviews statements of work for subcontractors.
- Prepares cost estimates for proposals and writes proposal sections and required program plans.
- Participates in design reviews and formal customer reviews and audits.
- Reviews and approves manufacturing operation sheets, drawings, and test and calibration procedures.
- Develops inspection instructions and inspection points on manufacturing routers.
- Acts as a member of the Engineering Change Board.
- Resolves minor issues between quality engineers and production control and assembly personnel.
- Witnesses environmental and operational testing.
- Develops estimates-to-complete.
- Performs audits of procedures and special processes.
- Maintains procedures and records of activities performed.
- Support failure analysis at the process, component, and workmanship level (Defect trend analysis and FMECA efforts).
- Facilitates Root cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Perform other duties as needed.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) from a four-year college or university
- 3-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-10 years with BA/BS
- Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.
- Knowledge of PC and their operating systems. (Excel, Power Point, Word)
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP Systems and Agile PLM/PDM is desired.
- Access to the network drafting records and purchasing system.
- Detailed working knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620 and J-STD Certifications. Previously certified is desired.
- Ability to use mechanical measurement equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators and scales.
- Sound knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 and AS9102B industry standards.
- Sound knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action methodology including proper use of Root Cause analysis tools such as Whys, Fishbone and Is-Is not.

Compensation and Benefits:
TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.
Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$63,370 - $105,617
Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
