Job Description
Summary:
The Product Quality Investigation Engineer joins the Measurement & Analysis Group (MAG) to lead investigations into product quality trends and coordinate resulting improvement activities. This role uses their expertise in data analysis and root cause investigation methods to analyze product performance trends, identify solutions, and monitor the effectiveness of design and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates cross-functional teams of technical SMEs and uses root cause analysis and quality principles to investigate identified product performance issues

Uses statistical techniques to analyze measured product performance trends and measure effectiveness of implemented solutions

Presents investigation conclusions, solution proposals, and effectiveness results to large, cross-functional audiences of differing levels of expertise

Fulfills ad hoc product performance analyses and other data requests from downstream stakeholders

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications:
a. Required

Experience with ISO 13485-certified quality management systems in medical device companies

Experience with statistical and reliability analysis tools, e.g. Minitab Statistics, ReliaSoft Weibull++
b. Required

Bachelor's degree in science or engineering
-
3+ years of quality engineering experience in a regulated industry

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and aptitude for new software

Strong statistics knowledge and data analysis skills

Experience using structured root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques

Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills

Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and committed to high standards of excellence and integrity

Pay Transparency:
The range for this position is $67,500 – $123,500. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process
