Position Summary

The purpose of the role will be to support the Senior Quality Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Operations Quality function. This will involve ensuring the highest quality products are being shipped to our customers. It will also mean ensuing that the products we use are compliant to the latest local legislation ensuring that we #NeverSettle.

Job Objective:

  • Assist the QA manager in the Operations Quality function.
  • Ensure the highest quality products are shipped to the customer.
  • Ensure that products are compliant to the latest legislation.
  • Collect and analyse quality data - utilising Business Intelligence and analytics software.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse quality data- utilising Business Intelligence and analytics software.
  • Develop collect and analyse quality data for vendor rating and feedback.
  • Assist in ensuring that new products are introduced efficiently into operations from the supply chain and including contract manufacturers.
  • Assist and help develop SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). 
  • Assist and gain experience in the EMC and product compliance function.
  • Liaise with contacts in the supply chain to maintain and test the latest firmware.
  • Assist in diagnosis of issues especially around money handling.
  • Assist in inspecting incoming product sampling and compile data analysis and reports.
  • Ensure that the rejection processes are managed effectively and follow up with correction, root cause and corrective action. 
  • Actively involved in improving business process and value engineering.
  • Actively help maintain the company’s ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
  • Assist with the audit program, schedule, and inductions etc.
  • Help administer the Q-Pulse document management system.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on own initiative and act as part of a team. Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must have a strong customer focus and must have good communication skills.
  • Must be able to review and work from technical drawings. Must be analytical and be able to manipulate and produce numerical data.
  • Ideally will have experience in a Quality Assurance role within a lean operations environment.
  • Ideally will have analytical skills and experience in Tableau, Agile PLM and Astea.
  • Must be trained or willing to train in Internal Auditing.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Must be willing to travel and conduct internal and external audits.
