Quality Engineer II
Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for developing, applying, revising, and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment. Assesses projects to analyze risks and costs and makes recommendations. Analyzes reports and returned products, and recommends corrective action. Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures. May develop tools, methods, and systems to ensure continuous performance improvements. May focus on supplier and supply chain quality.
INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:
General supervision of work with assignments that require a thorough and practical knowledge of the technical or business discipline. May be assigned to small projects or to phases/portions of larger projects. Proficient with tools, systems, and procedures required by the work. Understands and applies most principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline. Developing experience in the applicable discipline in solution creation and increasing business knowledge. Provides resolution to various problems of moderately complex scope. Exercises judgment in the use of defined procedures and practices. Has mastered most of the basic job responsibilities. Contacts are typically with other members of the team, management, and/or outside the immediate organization. Failure to achieve goals may require additional resources to correct. Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 year’s experience, or Masters with 0-1 year’s, or its equivalent.
