FLS is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Quality Specialist position at their Keokuk, IA location.
Job Summary: The Quality Specialist is responsible for conducting physical inspections, hands-on evaluations, and addressing local issues. This role involves interdepartmental coordination to deliver prompt solutions to customers, ensuring error prevention and continuous improvement within the QA system. The Specialists will manage the quality management system to ensure all products and services meet consistent standards, develop and maintain quality assurance protocols, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for Mill Liners. This position serves as the main contact for global quality issues related to the FLS Mill Liner product line and involves data analysis, supplier communication, and reporting to management.
This position will be part of the Keokuk team reporting directly to the Site Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Non-Conformances: Receive, assign, and track Non-Conformances, ensuring resolution and notification.
- Quality Metrics: Develop, monitor, and report on quality program metrics, leading monthly quality meetings.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve quality issues related to measurement and reporting, ensuring progress towards resolution.
- ISO Compliance: Establish and maintain ISO-compliant processes and documentation.
- Corrective Actions: Administer the Corrective and Preventive Action system, including data management and KPI reviews.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Six Sigma practices to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Facilitate quality-related meetings with other departments, focusing on continual improvement.
- Internal Audits: Manage the internal audit program, create audit plans, and ensure effective continuous improvement.
- Integrated Management System: Maintain the system, train users, and assist with Management Reviews.
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and measure physical parts and suppliers, report on examinations, and review corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5 years’ experience.
- Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma).
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
