Quality Consultant (Test and Release Support)

We are looking for a highly skilled Quality Consultant to support the test and release quality assurance activities for various large-scale IT systems for a European Commission project.

A Day in the Life of a Quality Consultant will include: 

• Support in the implementation and execution of the quality processes and procedures;
• Assistance and support on the SLA and quality procedures or documents associated with the services ;
• Support in Quality Assurance of different services and deliverables;
• Support in validating deliverables, reports, ensuring the adequate quality of testing, including security and penetration tests;
• Support deployments and manage the testing effort for any given engagement;
• Support in the post release implementation review process and the implementation of the lessons learned within the Release Management Processes;
• Support the planning, preparation (drafting and reviewing) of documents necessary for the acquisition of testing services and follow necessary quality tasks;
• Ensure that an accurate assessment and in-depth analysis is performed before proceeding with the change proposal/implementation;
• Produce and review reports (Test Progress Reports, Defects Reports) and Meeting Minutes, as required during the project execution;
• Collaborate with teams responsible for development, infrastructure and application testing ensuring efficient quality management, deployment and test execution for quality management;
• Review and improve testing documentation and processes by implementing industry best practices, and;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field;
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Quality Assurance consultant;
• Experience of working in an agile software development environment;
• Experience of the implementation of quality management standards in an IT software and infrastructure development context;
• Expertise in testing standards and methodologies and relevant tools for testing automation (e.g Selenium , TOSCA);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with capacity in writing and presenting documents;
• Excellent knowledge of the testing lifecycle processes and relevant toolchain;
• Familiarity with SLAs and quality documentation processes;
• Experience in managing testing efforts and generating test-related reports;
• Knowledge of release management and change implementation processes;
• ISTQB certification or relevant testing certification is a plus;
• Experience of quality management procedures according to ISO 9001 is a plus;
• Fluency in English, French language knowledge is an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work extended hours when necessary (5% of the allocation)
• Willingness to work both on-site and off-site as required
• Adaptability to work on various IT systems and projects

This role is a hybrid opportunity in Athens, but will also require monthly travel mobility in Strasbourg, France.
