Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Control Inspector located in Columbia, SC.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor the Quality Control Inspector  role involves performing inspection and quality check reports.

What a typical day looks like:

• Performs visual inspection of electronic card and sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
• Utilizes gages, templates, microscopes and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
• Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
• Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
• Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process falls below acceptable levels.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred. Successful completion of company provided training may be required.
• Typically requires comprehension of inspection techniques.
• Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics, touch-up, commercial soldering, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly, point to point wiring; Inspection: bare board, loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope, measuring tools; Mechanical & Electrical Tools: measuring tools; Office Skills: data entry, spreadsheet, manufacturing systems software.
