Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance and Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality control, production processes, and kitting operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards. This role ensures that all incoming and returned smartphone devices meet specifications before fulfillment, while also managing kitting operations and general warehouse tasks as needed. The supervisor will lead a team, conduct device testing, oversee kitting workflows, analyze return trends, and implement improvements to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the testing of incoming smartphone devices to ensure they meet company specifications before order fulfillment
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to assess hardware and software functionality
- Identify, document, and address any quality issues before approving devices for customer orders
- Oversee the inspection and testing of returned smartphone devices to assess functionality, performance, and defects
- Ensure proper categorization of returns based on quality standards, determining whether devices can be refurbished, restocked, or discarded
- Analyze return data to identify common defects and areas for improvement
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring devices are prepared, configured, and packaged according to specifications
- Monitor production timelines and ensure all processes meet company quality and efficiency standards
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and minimize delays in order fulfillment
- Oversee kitting processes, ensuring components are correctly assembled and packaged according to order requirements
- Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure all necessary materials are available for kitting operations
- Streamline kitting workflows to improve efficiency and reduce errors
- Assist with general warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory as needed
- Support shipping and fulfillment activities during peak periods or staffing shortages
- Ensure warehouse safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Develop, implement, and enforce quality control procedures for new and returned inventory, production, and kitting processes
- Ensure all processes comply with company quality standards and industry regulations
- Work with suppliers and vendors to address quality concerns and improve product consistency
- Lead and manage a team of quality assurance, production, and warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and best practices
- Provide training on smartphone testing methods, production workflows, kitting processes, and quality assurance
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback for continuous improvement
- Track and analyze device testing results, return trends, kitting accuracy, production output, and defect rates
- Generate reports on return rates, production efficiency, quality control performance, and kitting effectiveness
- Provide insights and recommendations to management on reducing return rates, improving quality, and enhancing production workflows
- Work closely with warehouse, procurement, and vendor teams to address quality issues and improve production and kitting workflows
- Assist in developing strategies to enhance efficiency in quality assurance, production, and warehouse operations
- Continuously identify areas of opportunity to improve quality, accuracy, and productivity
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree + in Supply Chain preferred or 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, production, kitting, or warehouse operations, and at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in smartphone device testing, troubleshooting, or refurbishment is highly preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of smartphone diagnostic tools and software
- Understanding of production workflows, kitting operations, quality assurance procedures, and inventory management systems
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends to improve product quality and production efficiency
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/production environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) / Google Suite and production or warehouse management systems
- Willingness to perform general warehouse duties as needed and work flexible hours if required
- Effectively organize, manage, and perform work assignments
- Spanish bilingual skills a plus

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year
