The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support a fast-paced program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. This role involves supporting the ensuring the delivery of comprehensive IT and support services to ensure mission success while adhering to DoD standards and regulations. The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure the design, development, and deployment of systems, hardware, and components meet stringent quality standards as well as support the internal quality process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop strategies, goals, tasks, roles, responsibilities, and information needs for QA surveillance.
- Serve as the program's QA lead for planning, work product reviews, and quality audits.
- Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP).
- Support Quality Management Reviews by reporting to higher-level management on the program's quality achievements and progress towards meeting quality objectives.
- Update the program's Tailored Process Baseline (TPB), as required.
- Provide review and input to program plans and other documents to ensure accurate and on-time deliverables.
- Conduct quality audits in adherence to the program's audit schedule and Leidos policies, and report audit results to program leadership.
- Generate corrective action requests for audit findings and maintain the Common Audit Database (CAD) with timely updates/closures of audit findings.
- Oversee the development, documentation, and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts in compliance with DoD standards and regulations.
- Ensure the program meets Department of Defense Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) by rigorously testing performance, functionality, and security.
- Identify risks and proactively work with teams to mitigate them, ensuring the system operates within prescribed CMMI levels and meets organizational quality standards.
- Review and ensure that solutions adhere to Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) criteria and all DoD-specific processes throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Conduct regular reviews of software development and maintenance processes to ensure compliance with DoD and CMMI standards.
- Evaluate software, hardware, and system performance against established metrics and DoD compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all QA activities support the overall program’s success and meet the high standards of quality expected in the DoD context.
- Generate test reports, including defect status and resolution tracking, and provide progress updates to DoD leadership.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations (e.g., DISA STIGs, FISMA) during testing and across all aspects of service delivery.
- Manage program instantiation of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Create and oversee Quality Assurance Plans (QAP).
- Implement audit practices for internal processes and products.
- Ensure compliance with PWS, SLAs/SLOs, EENG, ISO (namely 9001:2015) for the program as applicable.
- Create, update, and adopt a Tailored Process Baseline (TPB) for the program as applicable.
Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizen with at least a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a SCI prior to your start date.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional years of experience is required in lieu of a degree.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, RMF, DISA STIGs) and security protocols.
- Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) as they pertain to managed services and DoD programs.
- Experience with testing in an environment that adheres to Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI).
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of DoD security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and DISA STIG guidelines.
- Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its application in DoD software development and testing.
- Knowledge of cloud environments and testing related to DoD-approved platforms (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure for Government).
- Familiarity with software quality metrics and performance evaluations specific to DoD service contracts.

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
