Coordinates the quality assurance functions of the Quality Control Unit (QCU) for the Distribution Center Operations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintaining all records associated with operations including, but not limited to, completed batch records, on-site training records, completed validations, equipment calibration records, completed equipment qualification records, verify preventive maintenance records
  • Auditing receiving and distributions records for accuracy and completeness and trending
  • Tracking of quality metrics associated with the operation or other areas as deemed necessary by the organization
  • Assisting in ISO audits
  • Assisting or conducting internal audits, as necessary
  • Assisting with/writing of standard operating procedures (SOP) and forms related to the Distribution Center Operations
  • Maintaining control of the printed documents onsite
  • Documenting all changes in the change control system
  • Inspecting and releasing incoming finished goods or disposition of non-conforming material including the completion of reports and records.
  • Maintaining the records associated with deviations or non-conformances and the associated investigations, actions, and follow ups
  • Participates in investigation and resolution of customer complaints
  • Maintains retention storage of designated finished goods
  • General promotion of quality policy and quality objectives for the quality management system
  • Utilize ACE electronic platform to manage quality work flows and responsibilities
  • Complete work timely and effectively making sure to follow through until completion.
  • Prioritize daily work to accomplish all assigned tasks within expected timeframe
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

< >High school diploma. Two years related experience and a clear understanding of quality assurance. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common regulatory documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.

MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of scientific analysis such as mean, median, mode, coefficient of variation and standard deviation.

Direct experience with Windows-based computers, use of personal computer, keyboard and software packages including: Windows, Microsoft Office, and other software.  Computer used in 50% of job activities.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver’s license.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, and microbiological pathogens.  The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to cold conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
