About The Job
Are you passionate about ensuring safety, quality, environment and compliance while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment? We are looking for a skilled Health & Safety Engineer to take on a key role in maintaining and developing compliance standards at our Kolding site.
As a Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring compliance across various safety and environmental aspects on Kolding Site, while collaborating with stakeholders to drive a culture of safety and sustainability. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the internal audit program to ensure adherence to ISO standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001).
- Managing the overall chemical and substance procedures, systems, and handling processes.
- Being responsible for maintaining and optimizing the ISO management system at the site.
- Overseeing the waste program, ensuring efficient and environmentally responsible practices.
- Preparing and submitting the yearly compliance report to governmental authorities.
- Ensuring compliance with QHSE legislation and aligning with company QHSE policies and strategies.
- Developing and enhancing QHSE management systems, focusing on audits, SOPs, instructions, improvement projects, and staff training.
- Providing timely and accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders.
The position will be based in Kolding, Denmark. We expect travel activity to be approximately 5 days a year.
What You Know
- A strong QHSE mindset with a solid understanding of compliance, safety, and environmental standards.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Relevant certifications in ISO standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001) and hands-on experience with audits.
- Fluency in both Danish and English (written and spoken).
- A relevant educational background, ideally in engineering or a related field, with the ability to align processes and systems with organizational goals.
- Strong project management skills and a proven track record of driving improvement initiatives successfully.
