What you'll be doing:
- Test legacy and new test cases with the use of formal test cases or scripts. Execute smoke, regression, and functional tests
- Interpret test cases and compare them to established specifications
- Be able to go beyond the specification and anticipate problem areas in the product design and document test cases results and compare to expected results
- Analyzing Business Requirements, assessing the quality of these to ensure they are Cohesive, Comprehensive, Concise, Clear and Correct, and assures the work of others to ensure conformance to standards.
- Work closely with team members on requirement analysis and reviews to ensure 100% test coverage
- Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates or potential problems
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
- Defect and issue identification, logging, tracking, reporting and timely verification of resolved items
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team including Development, QA, Implementation, Documentation, Support and Sales
- Support the product through its full life cycle of design, code, test, and maintenance
- Assist in assessing product quality and release readiness
What you'll need:
- Education: completed university studies in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable
- Personality and Working Practice: team player, good communication skills, analytical thinking and structured, keen eye on detail
- Experience and Knowledge:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in software testing a clear interest in developing skills within the QA field including experience in the Agile / Scrum development lifecycle
- Experience in writing, testing, and executing SQL queries
- Experience in comprehensive testing on data solutions and bespoke applications
- Strong understanding of acceptance testing, test case development, execution of test procedures
- Experience executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies including waterfall and agile
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with technical and non-technical staff. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with a curious mind for investigating and breaking software.
- Detail-orientation with the ability to understand how each aspect interacts with the big picture.
- A solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and programming fundamentals. You do not need to be able to program our systems, but a working knowledge will help you excel in this role.
- Proven perseverance to carry a set of software deliverables from requirements to testing completion.
- Ability to write clear, concise, unambiguous, and accurate requirements
- Experience executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies including waterfall and agile
- Ability to write clear, concise, unambiguous, and accurate requirements
- Experience in logging bugs in Azure DevOps or any other tools as hands-on
- Experience on different types of testing that includes Black Box testing, Smoke testing, Functional testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression testing & User Acceptance testing (UAT) & Involved in Load Testing, Performance Testing & Stress Testing.
- Media / advertising industry experience is a plus
- Languages: very good English skills, any other language is a plus
