We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, automation frameworks, and web technologies.
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Playwright to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications. You will also contribute to scalability, performance testing, and API testing to enhance the overall test coverage and system robustness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Automation & Execution:
- o Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright to validate web application functionality, performance, and reliability.
- o Execute automated tests across multiple browsers and versions to ensure compatibility and consistency.
- o Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and implement solutions for test reliability.
- o Maintain and optimize the test automation framework to align with application updates and Playwright advancements.
2. Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD):
- o Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI to facilitate continuous delivery.
- o Work closely with DevOps and development teams to streamline automation in the software release cycle.
3. Performance & Scalability Optimization:
- o Conduct scalability and performance testing to assess the application’s ability to handle high workloads and stress conditions.
- o Use tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner to simulate and analyze real-world user interactions.
4. API Testing & Backend Validation:
- o Develop and execute API tests using Postman, REST Assured, or SOAPUI to validate backend functionality and integration points.
5. Collaboration & Reporting:
- o Work closely with cross-functional teams (Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps) to define test scenarios and prioritize testing efforts.
- o Generate detailed test reports and provide feedback to stakeholders on software quality and potential risks.
Requirements:
1. Education & Certification:
- o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
2. Experience:
- o 1+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on test automation using Playwright.
3. Technical Skills:
- o Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation.
- o Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation tools (e.g., Puppeteer, Selenium).
- o Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- o Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, SOAPUI).
- o Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI) for test automation integration.
- o Experience with scalability and performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).
4. Soft Skills:
- o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- o Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment (Scrum, Kanban).
Preferred Qualifications:
- o Experience with other automation frameworks like Cypress, WebDriverIO.
- o Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- o Understanding of cloud-based testing solutions.
