The Opportunity...

The Automation Lead Engineer is responsible for driving the transformation of the QA team into a highly automated function. This role involves architecting and implementing robust test automation frameworks, mentoring QA engineers, and collaborating with development teams to ensure efficient and effective testing processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of QA methodologies. How You'll Contribute...

• Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks across various testing layers (UI, API, database).
• Automation Strategy: Create and execute a long-term test automation strategy aligned with the overall product roadmap.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the QA team in adopting automation best practices, providing technical leadership and support.
• Tool Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and implement new automation tools and technologies to enhance test efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Test Optimization: Identify test automation opportunities, analyze test coverage, and optimize test suites for maximum efficiency.
• Performance Testing: Contribute to performance testing efforts by developing automation scripts and analyzing results.
• Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing within the QA team through training and documentation.

What We're Looking For...

• Proven experience as an Automation Lead Engineer with a strong track record of building and implementing automation frameworks.
• Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor QA engineers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus...

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with test data management and test environment management.
