The mission of the QA Lead is to provide our customers and other stake holders highest quality software. The main objective of this role is End-to-End ownership of the product and to be the custodian of product quality in AEI (Aetna Enterprise Integration). This includes building quality test cases to verify the functionality and provide timely inputs to management and working/leading a team to resolve any problems in timely manner.  The QA Lead role is a fast-paced position, in this role you need to understand our operating principals and make them the guidelines to complete your job.

This position is remote and we are open to all time zones in the United States.

As a QA Lead your responsibilities include:

  • Review requirements, understand the dependencies with cross functional teams

  • Lead the team, set realistic and challenging goals, and provide timely and constructive feedback

  • Risk management - You must be able to identify potential risks that could compromise the software’s quality or delay delivery, develop strategies to mitigate any risks identified and update leadership early on

  • Own the process of creating and defining quality metrics to measure and monitor product performance, from concept to completion

  • Implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency to measure the overall quality of the Product and ensure the highest quality application deliveries to production

  • Overall QA ownership for regression and end-to-end functions on medium to large initiatives spanning multiple teams and systems and collaborate with leaders/teams across the enterprise

  • Monitor, manage, resolve conflicts for multiple ongoing projects at the same time

  • Collaborate with Development, Project Managers and Solution Architects to validate performance and resiliency of the consumer technology ecosystem

  • Identify/Propose and work upon frameworks/tools for automation

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with software engineering or quality assurance engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium and programming experience using Java/python

  • 5+ years of experience in new QA technology and trends including QA test automation using gherkins, Rest Assure, Java, apache poi, GitHub, devops, Jenkins, BDD Automation, DB Testing, Continuous testing and model-based testing

  • 5+ years experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with product management tools such as RTC/RQM 

  • 5+ years experience in Microservices testing and API Testing using tools such as SOAP UI / POSTMAN / READY API

  • 2+ years of experience in developing a framework from scratch and contribute to the innovations, inspect the problems and work towards resolving them

  • 2+ years of experience using HTML, Swagger, Node JS

  • 2+ years of experience in building dashboards using automation/PowerBi/Quickbase

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Health care/Insurance domain

  • Experience with RPA, UiPath and AI

  • 3+ years of experience in Apache Jmeter to run performance tests

  • Ability to innovate, display original thinking and creativity, meets challenges with resourcefulness, generating suggestions for improving work and presents ideas and information in a manner that convinces team and management

  • Dev/Sec/Ops and CI/CD experience

  • Experience with Message queuing technologies like JMS, Rabbit MQ, etc.

  • Win as a team – Make big things happen by working together and being open to new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space

  • Proven experience in working with onshore and offshore colleagues\contractors

  • Proven experience as a change agent and driving teams towards automation, ability to identify bottlenecks and drives for improvements

  • Good at completing assignments with attention to detail and to a high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads, and requirements

  • Time efficient and highly organized

  • Result driven approach and should demonstrate ownership and accountability

  • Superior cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

  • Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision

  • Good verbal and written communications

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and customer

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
