Our challenge

We are looking for a talented Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in compliance testing, particularly in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure our applications meet rigorous compliance standards while delivering high-quality software.

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Mississauga, ON is CAD $90k – CAD $100k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Automation Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain automation testing frameworks that are effective for compliance testing of AML/KYC applications.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA team and stakeholders to define testing strategies, create test plans, and ensure comprehensive test coverage of compliance requirements.
• Test Case Development: Write, review, and execute automated test cases based on functional specifications and compliance requirements, ensuring that all AML/KYC processes are thoroughly validated.
• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure that compliance checks are performed during each build and deployment cycle.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues related to compliance testing.
• Reporting: Generate and present detailed test reports and metrics on the status of compliance testing efforts to stakeholders.
• Regulatory Awareness: Stay current with AML/KYC regulations and best practices to ensure that testing strategies align with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

You are:

• Experience: Minimum [10 years] of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation testing and compliance testing related to AML/KYC.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for test automation.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of web services testing (REST/SOAP) and API automation.
• Knowledge of AML/KYC: Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations, compliance processes, and testing methodologies in the financial sector.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks in software applications.
• Certifications in Java will be an added advantage

Soft skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices.
• Knowledge of security testing principles and practices related to compliance
