Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) is a leading refiner and recycler of precious group metals. The growing demand for low carbon and responsibly sourced products is creating growth opportunities in critical metals recycling and secondary refining, and as the world’s largest precious metals recycler, PGMS is a key player in the circular economy.
The Quality Associate assists in the administration and improvement of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to help ensure processes and procedures are established, implemented, maintained and in alignment with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards. The Quality Associate assists with day-to-day support for product or raw material disposition as well as with the review of associated documentation as required.
Your responsibilities:

Scan and store all batch record for accuracy and completeness.

Review Batch records and disposition material of finished product.

Assist with final quality inspections including manufacturing record review and shipping paperwork review and signoff for accuracy and completeness.

Maintain internal quality systems such as procedure updates.

Assist to establish and maintain all internal and external audits and certification activities including ISO 9001 & IATF 16949.

Other related Quality Assurance projects as assigned.
Requirements for the role:

Minimum Education Required – Associate degree
-
1 plus years’ experience in a quality assurance role or in a manufacturing environment desirable

Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001and IATF 16949 desirable

Relevant computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook)

Detail-oriented and organized

Good written and oral communication skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, time manage and be adaptable

Flexible and able to adapt to company growth and evolving responsibilities

Ability to work independently and with a team
