  • Principal Accountabilities
  • Oversight of the SharePoint sites and Confluence sites and the retention policies will be a primary responsibility
  • Have a working knowledge of the COSO based risk assessment framework and ensure control activities are tested, documented, and working effectively based on a sound understanding of the control environment of FSO CATS in-scope applications
  • Run Unix commands and SQL queries to aid in the interpretation of error messages in the on-prem environment
  • Support testing in the transition from on-prem environments to AWS Cloud environments
  • Review and edit files using a software editing tool to aid in testing scenarios as well as assist business lines with layout issues
  • Coordinate interface testing with multiple FRS business lines with no supervision
  • Utilize automated testing solutions and debugging tools
  • Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.
  • Ensure that testing activities meet business requirements, systems goals, end-user requirements, performance requirements, security requirements and identify existing or potential issues.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems and document results.
  • Plan, develop and execute regression testing scenarios. Lead and coordinate the efforts of one or more Quality Assurance Analysts when complex testing assignments require the business knowledge of the function as well as the efforts of a testing team.
  • Deliver efficient and effective support, training, training materials, and documentation to end users.
  • Collaborate with the application development team in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, and user acceptance testing methods
  • Participate on System wide workgroups as assigned
  • Provide constructive and actionable feedback to management, development team, and other QA team members and assume responsibility for the resolution of problem issues
  • Provide weekend testing support for national applications in rotation with other members of the department, as needed.


Supervision

  • This position requires leading other QA team members and, on occasion, system members for specific project assignments.


Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a bachelor's degree in business or technology and a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.

  • SharePoint and Confluence experience including retention policies for updating and maintaining the sites
  • Working knowledge of UNIX, SQL and software editing tools
  • Working knowledge of testing tools in AWS cloud applications
  • Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills are needed for providing direction and working on projects
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to cultivate effective working relationships with business and technical teams at all levels within the Federal Reserve System and with external customers
  • Highly developed critical thinking, including strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to set priorities and readily adapt to changing priorities; commitment and flexibility to ensure critical deadlines are met
  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
  • QA testing certification and AWS certification is a plus.
