Job Responsibilities:
Objective of the Position
Overall supplier commercial management responsibility from nomination to EOP. Direct responsibility for local operations in Korea and lead role in global operations (China, Mexico and Hungary) through the local teams.

  • PV Part Development
  • DM : PET / LRR, PPAP activity tracking, BOM Cost change Management
  • Buyer : PV Development Management by each commodity (PV Drawing agreement / TKO / Line Set-up / Yield / Capa / Package / HSMS / etc)
  • PV Tool Development Tool Order & payment, Contract, Customer response (If changed Volume / BOM / etc) Mass production price management (VI, RM, Change management including design change, etc) Supplier capacity Ramp-up / 4M Management DV / PV Tool Management (Audit / Discard) & Collection of PV Tool cost (Collection of Tooling document & submit to customer) Regular evaluation of supplier / Supplier risk management Supplier compensation negotiation & defense (Investment & Price) ECMS analysis/response of Mass production project Supply of Service part Shared Growth / Subcontract supplier Management (Education, Fair Trade commission response, Win-Win Cooperation with Supplier) / Response of LG Electronics & Global operation


Job Requirement & Qualification

  • Relocation to Korea will be required for a specific period of time.
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Minimum 15+ years of progressively more responsible supervisory / managerial and leadership experience in high volume automotive manufacturing operation
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of Business and Financial matters required at a Divisional level Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, coaching, mentoring, interpersonal, problem solving, motivational and negotiation skills Excellent human management skills Overall advanced experience of purchasing (Cost analysis, Partner pool setup through global sourcing, SQD, Supply chain risk management, etc.) Continuous Improvement Methodologies
  • Fluent in English and Korean language is mandatory.
  • Reports directly to COO. Manages two team in charge of operations for all commodities and program / pricing management of suppliers. Functional reporting of Mexico, China and Hungary purchasing operations teams.
  • Familiar with Korean culture
  • Prior experience within the Automotive industry.
