Primary Responsibilities:

Perform computer protocol analysis and session reassembly of known and unidentified protocols.

Recognize the characteristics, functions and formats of different networks (e.g., Synchronous Optical, Wireless LANs, Closed).

Disseminate results of signal analysis and provide data to customers and partners.

Log signals-related information and update files on signal characteristics in relevant databases.

Analyze new algorithms and protocols.
-
Document analytic tradecraft and methodology.
-
Interpret output of specialized tools and computer-based programs.

Explore and test multiple avenues of discovery.
-
Develop methods, tools and/or computer-based programs to process analytic problems.
Basic Qualifications

Active TS/SCI w/Poly
-
Bachelors degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 4 years relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 12 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience will be considered for those who have completed one of the following military training courses: 451 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis), or who have participated in or graduated from the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP).

Degree must be Engineering, Computer Science, a Physical Science, or a related technical field.

Relevant experience must be in signals analysis, including protocol analysis, and include network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and/or network security analysis.

In-depth familiarity with the Open System Interconnection (OSI) 7-layer model focusing on network layer or above.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Deep understanding of data link layer of OSI model, network stack, and network architectures.

Packet Capture (PCAP) Analysis and use of Wireshark.

Experience with hybrid cloud architectures integrating private cloud resources and external services such as data management and O&M.

Experience using AMOD tools such as XKS.

Pay Range:Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
