The ideal candidate would have a long track record of leading the technical and design team with proven portfolio of projects in the aviation sector. This role requires extensive understanding of the aviation sector, industry knowledge as well as solid Middle East experience.
Responsibilities:

Manage, Review, and provide recommendations for the engineering deliverables for design and architectural studies (prepared by a designer/contractors/3rd parties) along all design stages.

Prepare and Reviewing the scope of work for all engineering RFPs, and technical support during the tendering stage.

Support for preparation and evaluation of all RFPs and proposals.

Review and provide recommendations for the proposed design changes to awarded contracts.

Reviewing engineering proposals for construction contracts.

Offering technical and engineering support for construction works if needed.

Offering technical and engineering support for all engineering works and studies.

Conduct interdisciplinary design reviews, including value engineering and constructability assessments.

Support for in- house technical and engineering works.

The project technical manager will be responsible for management of preparing plan to update and improve the design & construction standards and specifications as per applied international practices.

Prepare and Review the current engineering design standards and criteria, plus the standard construction specifications and details.

Develop general technical requirements for material and equipment performances used for airports, and support The Client Projects and Technical Affairs for approval of equipment, materials, and suppliers.

Assist the Client with all commercial requests for commercial locations and tenants request to provide and construct all the required services as per the TDR and
commercial needs from an engineering aspect.

Preparing and implementing the engineering knowledge transfer plan which includes comprehensive on-the-job learning for the Client staff.

Support in-house technical and engineering works.
