The Role
Working in a team environment consisting of a Quality Inspector and Analyst, this role is responsible for coordinating and executing quality tasks, processes and initiatives that deliver exceptional operational performance and grow the Waratah product portfolio.
Ensuring exceptional quality from our suppliers to ensure builds for our new and existing portfolio exceed our customer expectations
Role Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of quality plans for continuous improvement and new product development projects in alignment with project schedules and milestones.
- Development and audition of supplier quality systems to ensure adherence with Company requirements. Collaborate with supply base on corrective actions on factory and customer issues.
- Facilitates design, process and assembly reviews (DPAR), FMEA studies and routing quality assessments (RQA) Engages in development of factory and supplier plans when required.
- Participates in risk assessments, design reviews, virtual build reviews (VB) functional geometry reviews (FGR) as quality representative.
- Reviews PPAP documentation for purchased parts and supports suppliers to implement systems to deliver appropriate PPAP documentation, in accordance with Quality Part Levels (QPL).
- Quality subject matter expert (SME) in the enterprise product data management (EPDM) system Ensures quality activities are completed on time as per project requirements.
- Communicates and collaborates with suppliers on addressing supplier quality issues.
- Participates or leads projects to introduce digital solutions for quality systems.
- Leads integration efforts with John Deere India quality engineers to ensure appropriate delegation of ownership and completion of deliverables in alignment with project schedules.
- Ensures alignment with peers in other functional areas to drive collaboration towards common targets.
- Ensures alignment with enterprise or divisional strategic quality initiatives through connections with peers in other Deere locations.
