Job Description:

The Project Planner/Coordinator is responsible for scheduling manufacturing projects from engineering through to shipment.

                  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to provide delivery dates for sales quotations.
  • Creates schedules for multi-module projects which enables engineering, procurement, assembly, test, and shipping teams to effectively execute projects.
  • Continuously monitors projects to identify and address issues that may affect the schedule.
  • Reports on projects status/risk, schedule, issues, and plan versus actual costs.
  • Acts as a liaison within operations to enable the effective flow of information and materials.
  • Improves and maintains standard build plans by working with assembly teams, engineering, manufacturing engineering and sales.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • An associate degree in a technical or business-related discipline is preferred.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two – four years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated communication, organization, and planning skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of XA and MRP or an equivalent ERP system is required.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not directly supervise other associates.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
  • Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
  • Travel by air or car occasionally
