This role is for a Technical Project Manager to support Corporate and Professional Services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within budget. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating teams, managing resources, and maintaining communication with stakeholders to achieve project success.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring all project objectives are met.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and objectives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
- Define and track project milestones and schedule.
- Assign and oversee the daily tasks of team members, ensuring they are actively working towards established milestones.
- Document and manage dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Coordinate & host project meetings to ensure seamless collaboration, review progress and address any questions or challenges raised. Send meeting notes with clear action items and timelines.
- Provide detailed periodic status reports.
- Monitor progress throughout all phases of the project.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, changes, issues, risks, and milestones.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's project management tools and processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing feedback, conducting post-project reviews, and implementing lessons learned.
- Manage resource capacity and project budgets
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of project management experience and familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
- 3-5 years of IT experience, a solid understanding of IT systems, software, and best practices
- A bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a business-related field.
- Travel industry, Travel Operations, or TMC experience is a plus.
- ITIL certification is desired.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency using Smartsheet.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to navigate the organization, collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, and overcome project barriers.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt and prioritize focus.
- Solid follow-through with minimal management.
- Good business & technical acumen.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and managing teams
- Fluent in English.
