Responsibilities / Tasks

This role is open to candidates based anywhere in the UK.

The key management priorities for the role are to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

This role will be based in our Leeds' Offices and will report to the Director Projects Engineering and Execution - Refrigeration Technologies UK

Your main responsibilities will include:

·         Project planning : lead the project team based on analysis of strategic importance, tasks outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources and deadlines and explain implications of changes to project scope and/or objectives - manage the client stakeholders, team members, or contract personnel to design a solution and establish associated project time lines and budgets - Establish and maintain a schedule for all phases of a project.

·         Project accounting and finance : accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization - track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis - manage project budget - determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for project - client Management

·         Project Control: ensure project meets internal and client expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery time lines, and strategy - manage scope creep through client change orders, internal change orders, phased delivery - Evaluate all key project deliverable, as well as final product to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality and client acceptance - Responsible for formal sign off on all project deliverable - Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on specific client engagements and create contingency plans when required.

·         Project communication : ensure clients achieve an understanding of expectations, deliverable, dependencies, risks, progress and the works development process (customized reporting) - clear communication to all key stakeholders including the project team and management about the project activities, progress, risks, and expectations.

·         Internal project reporting and administration : be prepared to discuss project quality, client and team satisfaction, and project success metrics during regularly scheduled and ad hoc project review meetings with the managing director - track and report weekly on percent complete, budget burn, earned value, slippage, project effort and duration to complete and other key project metrics.

·         Resource management : Determine project roles of team members and when necessary work with external contractors in addition to internal resources - define skill sets (competencies) and resource equipment (including staffing, software, hardware and facilities) required for the project based on project specifications and requirements.

Your Profile / Qualifications

·         Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within industrial refrigeration

·         Demonstrable ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders

·         Demonstrable experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature with nationwide scope

·         Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget

·         Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·         Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

·         Good computer skills, proficient with MS office applications

·         Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
