We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager with extensive experience in system implementation within a global environment, specifically in the financial services or insurance sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end implementation of our new reinsurance system, ensuring seamless integration, and driving project success across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and reporting to senior management and project sponsors.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners to ensure alignment and collaboration.

System Implementation:

  • Lead the implementation of the global reinsurance system, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and data migration.
  • Oversee system testing, user training, and change management activities to ensure a smooth transition and adoption.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop effective mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively address and resolve project challenges to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track project performance against established KPIs and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Continuously evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager in system implementation within a global environment, preferably in the financial services or insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance processes, systems, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000-$140,000.
