Project Manager

RP is seeking a Program Manager to support our portfolio in the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This Program Manager will provide project management and strategic support throughout the portfolio as well as hold leadership responsibility on one or more client-facing programs/projects.

Responsibilities:  

• Ensure 100% of deliverables are developed, reviewed, approved, and delivered on time and in compliance with contract specifications and obligations.

• Bring your own subject matter expertise, experience, and insights to contractual deliverables and work products associated with assigned project(s).

• Maintain schedules, work plans, SOPs, and other such project management documents necessary for successful project delivery.

• Engage with client stakeholders and foster positive, collaborative relationships to facilitate communication and, ultimately, successful delivery of projects.

• Promote innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness within projects, and across the portfolio as a whole.

• Resolve problems with minimal disruption to the activities being performed under the contract.
• Model required staffing levels according to contracted levels of effort and work with talent acquisition and others in the company to identify and place appropriate staff.
• Manage project financials to ensure that established budgets are not exceeded.
• Ensure all work is performed according to contractual requirements and performance standards.
• Develop and maintain status monitoring and reporting systems including Project Management Review (PMR) documents.
• Contribute to RP growth efforts in line with your area(s) of expertise.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited US college or university
• 7+ years of experience managing a major (multiple workstream) program for a Government Agency or large-scale private organization.
• 3+ years of project management experience in the government contracting industry.
• The ability to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Previous experiences supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Experience managing government technology project
• Background in Information Technology
• PMP certification
