Apera AI is looking for a skilled and dynamic Onboarding Project Manager to lead the charge in transforming the customer onboarding experience. In this high-visibility role, you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of onboarding projects, ensuring seamless transitions from sales to post-installation support. What You’ll Do

  • Manage and oversee onboarding projects to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the onboarding pipeline for seamless transitions from order to post-installation support.
  • Collaborate with Field Application Engineers and Customer Success Managers to create frictionless onboarding experiences.
  • Conduct kickoff meetings to set expectations and launch projects effectively.
  • Provide regular updates on timelines, challenges, and project statuses to customers and stakeholders.
  • Align cross-functional teams on milestones through effective communication and follow-ups.
  • Escalate at-risk accounts and drive resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and travel coordination.
  • Document and refine onboarding processes for scalability and efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline installations while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor project KPIs and contribute to performance tracking through detailed reports and dashboards.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and maintain detailed customer records in Apera’s systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, robotics, automation, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in automation, robotics, or controls.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in a second language is a bonus.
  • Working knowledge of robotics, machine controls, automation principles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Flexibility for international travel, including short-notice trips.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or a master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent) or formal project management training.
  • Hands-on experience with vision systems and their application in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, such as Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Yaskawa Motoman, or Universal Robots.
  • Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting.
  • Experience in management or supervisory roles.
