This position is based out of Dentalcorp's Toronto Support Centre Mondays to Thursdays and Fridays are work from home. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Process Innovation, Strategy & PMO, you will play a vital role in supporting the company’s strategic growth and operational excellence initiatives. You will lead diverse, high-impact projects such as practice integrations, system enhancements, process optimizations, and regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring they are executed efficiently and deliver measurable value.

In this role, you will

  • Help establish and sustain the Project Management Office (PMO), including creating processes, templates, tools, and training to improve efficiency and consistency. 
  • Ensure alignment with PMO best practices across all projects. 
  • Lead and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they align with company goals, timelines, and budgets. 
  • Define project scope, create detailed plans, set milestones, and track progress to successful delivery. 
  • Oversee key initiatives, such as practice integrations, system upgrades, process improvements, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including leadership, practice managers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and project success. 
  • Demonstrate leadership in resolving conflicts, building stakeholder alignment, and fostering collaboration across teams. 
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project progress, risks, and solutions. 
  • Support teams in adapting to new systems, processes, and workflows introduced by projects. 
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to ensure projects meet organizational needs. 
  • Use process mapping and data analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements. 
  • Quickly learn and apply new technology tools to enhance project delivery and collaboration. 
  • Identify, assess, and address potential risks or issues that could impact project success. 
  • Develop contingency plans and resolve challenges proactively to keep projects on track. 
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including status reports, charters, and evaluations. 
  • Use data and reports to communicate project outcomes and highlight key impacts to stakeholders and leadership. 
  • Capture lessons learned to drive continuous improvement in future projects. 
  • Provide flexible support to team members and help address emerging needs or challenges. 
  • Foster a collaborative environment to achieve shared goals effectively. 

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Project Management, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, with exposure to healthcare or related sectors preferred. 
  • Experience working in large, multi-department organizations. 
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in dental practices. 
  • Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is a strong asset. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-impact projects and establish PMO processes and standards. 
  • Skilled in change and risk management, including managing resistance and guiding teams through transitions. 
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Expertise in aligning projects with organizational strategy and developing business cases. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder analysis and expectation management. 
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines. 
  • Collaborative problem-solver with adaptability, continuous learning, and improvement focus. 
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Smartsheet). 
  • Experience with data analysis and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart). 
  • Familiarity with reporting and collaboration tools (e.g., Power BI, Slack) is an advantage. 
  • Technology-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and apply new tools to improve project outcomes. 
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
