IT Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Scope Definition:
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Resource Allocation and Team Coordination:
  • Assemble and lead project teams, assigning tasks based on team members' skills and availability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, engineers, business analysts) to ensure project alignment and collaboration.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight:
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses to ensure projects stay within financial constraints.
  • Provide regular updates on budget status to stakeholders, identifying and addressing any potential risks to the project’s financial health.
  • Risk Management and Problem Resolution:
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Proactively address and resolve issues as they arise, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and team members.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to update on project status, potential issues, and solutions.
  • Prepare progress reports, document milestones, and report outcomes to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Quality Assurance and Project Closure:
  • Oversee project quality assurance and testing phases to ensure all deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, including lessons learned and suggestions for future improvement.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on IT projects.
  • Certifications (Preferred): PMP (Project Management Professional), or Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and an understanding of IT systems and development processes.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Analytical Abilities: Ability to assess complex situations, break them down into actionable steps, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Key Competencies:
  • Attention to Detail: Ensures that all project details are thoroughly planned and executed.
  • Adaptability: Able to pivot strategies in response to unexpected challenges.
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing expectations and building trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
