The candidate will report to Design Director and will be responsible for managing of project programme, delivery schedule, project progress reporting, client engagement, local project office management, and fee collection.
He/she will be responsible for the success of the project from administrative and programme perspective. He/she will be responsible for stakeholder management. He/she is also responsible for closely working with the technical team and project delivery team ensuring compliance with respect to the contractual obligations as well as providing effective guidance on technical delivery to the project team as and when necessary.
Responsible for managing the setup of all project management systems and documents, ensures technical staff are appointed and roles and responsibilities of each team member is well defined and reporting lines and communications is established. Responsible for successful delivery of the assigned Scope of Works from inception to final implementation including quality, time, cost and technical alignment with client sectors and procedures.
The incumbent will role model SJ values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all project delivery activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.
Requirements
§ Min. 20 years relevant experience in the field of programme and contract management for regional planning, urban planning or development planning projects.
§ Must have experience in client and contractual management and stakeholder management
§ Must have experience in administering a contract/s for large scale planning projects.
§ The ideal candidate will have a Masters in Regional Planning/ Urban Planning/ Development Planning and an advanced degree in project management or PMP would be an advantage.
§ International experience working in the field of development planning in several countries preferably in the Gulf region.
§ Experience in implementation of master plans is required.
§ Experience in project leadership/ contractual management, fee collection and conflict resolution.
§ Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English is a must
§ Willingness to relocate to Oman for the project duration
